This week, several members of the Executive Team convened with the Financial Aid team- John Davis, Director, Enrollment Systems and Aid, Amanda Jackson, Director, Financial Aid, and Amanda Gerson, Vocational Rehabilitation Outreach Manager- for a two-day strategy session to refine our award frameworks for the upcoming academic year. During the 2025-2026 academic year, we were highly successful with our undergraduate award packaging strategy, which generated over $1 million in additional VR support for our students compared with previous years. Our deep gratitude goes to the Financial Aid team who worked very hard to secure financial assistance for our students. We plan to maintain this effective approach for undergraduate students moving forward.
In this session we also focused heavily on navigating recent changes to federal regulations affecting graduate programs. The team explored and identified solutions to help graduate students continue to attend under these new guidelines.

The Executive Leadership Team recently met with Richard Dougherty and Christopher Hoffman from Campus Design and Facilities (CDF), alongside our planning partners Sasaki/MASS, to review progress and explore the future of our campus.
September’s pop-up engagement sessions at SAC and BisonFest generated over 600 votes on emerging campus planning ideas! A huge thank you to our students, faculty, and staff for your enthusiastic participation and valuable feedback!
The team continues to gather community input, conduct important studies, including this week’s parking study, and develop a high-level roadmap of projects and priorities for the next decade. We look forward to continuing these conversations with our alumni during Homecoming next week, inviting them to share their ideas and aspirations for Gallaudet’s future.
Sasaki/MASS will return in November for further community engagement. We encourage everyone to get involved, share your ideas, and help shape Gallaudet’s future campus together!
